Faculty Development Program for Pakistani Universities
??The project 'Faculty Development Program for Pakistani Universities' (FDP) was commenced in 2016-17 to support 2,000 non-PhD serving faculty members of HEC recognized universities/DAIs having master degree with minimum 18 years of education and age limit of maximum 45 years. FDP project is a split PhD scholarships program wherein a scholar starts the initial research in Pakistan and at any point during research he/she would be required to proceed abroad for a maximum period up to 12 months for foreign session in world top 500 QS ranked universities abroad. FDP project has been designed to achieve the following goals:
To enhance research and development capacity of non-PhD faculty members of HEC recognized Universities/DAIs in key areas of their expertise through providing an opportunity to pursue PhD degree in Pakistan and World-renowned universities abroad.
To increase collaboration between Pakistani and World renowned/recognized universities.
To provide centralized leadership for enhancing the effectiveness of teaching and learning at Pakistan.
To achieve the larger goals of SDGs, Vision 2025 and to contribute towards socio-economic development and knowledge economy of the country.?
