Commentary in September 2026 argued that for living standards to improve, Pakistan's economy must grow at near what rate for decades?

Explanation: Analysis published on 18 September 2026 argued that harsh policy measures have stabilised Pakistan's economy but failed to generate growth, and that for Pakistanis to live better the economy must grow at near double-digit rates for decades. The argument frames stabilisation and growth as sequential rather than substitutable objectives. For CSS Economy essays, aspirants should connect this to investment-to-GDP ratios, savings rates, export competitiveness and the boom-bust cycle of Pakistan's balance of payments.
