Venezuela was reported in September 2026 to be nearing a deal to move how much in gold reserves to New York?

Explanation: Venezuela was reported to be nearing a deal to move $4 billion in gold reserves to New York, a striking development given the country's historically strained relationship with US financial institutions and prior efforts to keep its gold reserves outside Western jurisdictions. The move followed major upheaval in Venezuelan politics after the Trump administration seized control of Venezuelan oil following the capture of President Nicolas Maduro earlier in 2026, reshaping the country's international financial arrangements.
