Oil prices dipped slightly in mid-September 2026 from highs not seen in how many months?

Explanation: Oil prices dipped slightly from four-month highs in mid-September 2026 after Saudi Arabia offered additional oil shipments to global markets, easing some pressure on import-dependent economies. The earlier price surge had been driven by disruption linked to the Iran war and closure of the Strait of Hormuz, feeding into higher inflation readings in major economies including the United States and prompting the Federal Reserve's first rate hike since 2023.
