Pakistan signed a Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement with Saudi Arabia on which date, later cited as a foundation for its posture during the Iran war?

Explanation: Pakistan signed a Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement with Saudi Arabia on 17 September 2025, an agreement that views aggression against one party as aggression against both, although it does not mandate automatic military intervention. This bilateral pact, signed roughly five months before the Iran war began, provided an important legal and political foundation for Pakistan's subsequent deepened security cooperation with Saudi Arabia as the regional conflict escalated through 2026.
